Broomfield Road, Kew

Creating a home for everyday life and extended family gatherings

The project explores how a townhouse can be transformed into a welcoming family home, accommodating everyday life alongside long periods of extended family visits. A new rear extension replaces a small kitchen with a generous kitchen, dining and family living space, creating a natural centre to the home. The wider proposals include reconfiguring the upper floors, including a new basement.

  • Rear extension creating a generous kitchen, dining and family living space

  • Reorganisation of the upper floors to improve bedroom accommodation for the family and visiting relatives

  • Basement proposals incorporating gym, sauna and spa facilities

  • Improved connection between the principal living spaces and the garden

  • A considered balance between generous entertaining spaces and the comfort of everyday family life

Services included feasibility studies, project costing, planning applications, tender management and preparation of pre-construction packages.
